Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant cum Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with UAE tax regulations, and medical coding expertise. This role requires handling financial operations while coordinating with insurance companies to ensure accurate claim submissions and reimbursements.Key Responsibilities
Accounting
- Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and perform bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- Prepare and assist with Corporate Tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax laws.
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with UAE laws and accounting standards.
- Support audits and prepare required financial documentation.
- Perform accurate medical coding using ICD-10, CPT, and other applicable coding standards.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim approvals, resubmissions, denials, and payment reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with DHA and insurance guidelines.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to resolve coding and billing discrepancies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification or experience in Medical Coding is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax compliance.
- Experience filing VAT returns and Corporate Tax returns.
- Familiarity with UAE accounting standards and FTA requirements.
- Experience dealing with insurance companies and medical claim processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a dental or medical clinic.
- Knowledge of DHA regulations and healthcare billing systems.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar ERP systems.
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- UAE Tax filling: 2 years (Preferred)
