## Join BMO as an Administrative Assistant Intern (Co-op/Internship) – Fall 2026, Montreal This is a 4-month co-op/internship opportunity designed for students currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to their studies. Your experience will be integrated from the start, with opportunities to participate in the Student Experience Program, explore BMO U’s corporate learning platform, and connect through various Employee Resource Groups to build your network. ### What You’ll Do You will provide administrative and operational support for the delivery of financial and investment planning and advice, helping to create an exceptional customer experience. Working collaboratively within your assigned team or branch and with business partners, you’ll identify gaps, issues, and best practices by monitoring sales and service performance against targets. You’ll contribute to the team’s business objectives by building and maintaining client relationships – both through internal referrals within the existing book of business and external sources via marketing initiatives. This includes telemarketing and outbound calls to expand the team’s growth potential. You’ll coordinate marketing activities and sales materials to support client and prospect conversations. You’ll provide detailed knowledge about our products and services, determine appropriate communication regarding all aspects of investing, and independently resolve client complaints in a timely and effective manner, escalating when needed. Staying current with the investment services marketplace, products, and regulatory environment is key. You’ll also coordinate and execute activities for strategic initiatives, track metrics and milestones, and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations. This includes gathering and formatting data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards. You’ll prepare information for client meetings, annual reviews, and handle specialized support for investment client service issues. Ensuring client needs are met or exceeded, you’ll manage requests according to policy, maintain the schedule or calendar to coordinate meetings and office coverage, and meet high-quality service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth. You’ll develop rapport and instill confidence with clients, organize work information for accuracy, and follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard our customers’ assets, privacy, and interests. You’ll also protect the bank’s assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements. The role involves completing complex and diverse tasks within given rules, handling escalations, and analyzing issues to determine next steps. Broader responsibilities may be assigned as needed. ### What We’re Looking For Typically, this role requires between 0 and 1 year of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should have advanced knowledge of investment processes and procedures, as well as our proprietary products and services to identify solutions for client needs. Relevant investment industry licensing for the designated jurisdiction or portfolio is required. You’ll need good verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, collaboration and team skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluency in both French and English is essential, as you’ll support clients and team members inside and outside the province of Quebec. ### Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is $38,500.00 – $71,000.00 per year (salaried), with the exact amount based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. BMO’s total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
