Key Responsibilities
Credit Control & Accounts Receivable- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments through email, phone, and other communication channels.
- Investigate and resolve payment disputes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and collection notes.
- Monitor customer payment behavior and proactively identify collection risks before they become critical.
- Analyze Accounts Receivable ageing, collection effectiveness, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), recommending actions to improve cash collections and reduce overdue balances.
- Support month-end Accounts Receivable reconciliation and reporting activities while ensuring the accuracy of receivables data.
- Prepare and maintain an accurate rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Produce and distribute daily cash position reports, highlighting significant variances and liquidity risks.
- Monitor expected customer receipts against forecasts and provide timely updates on cash flow performance.
- Support initiatives to improve working capital and optimize cash conversion.
- Prepare weekly collections status reports and management dashboards.
- Produce financial analysis, KPI reports, and performance insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Track and report on key credit control metrics, including collection effectiveness, overdue balances, DSO, cash collections, and forecast accuracy.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting customer payments and overall cash flow, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated reports, dashboards, and management reporting using advanced Excel, AI-enabled tools, and other reporting solutions.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and cash collection performance.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration in Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent are an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Financial Analysis, or a similar finance role.
- Experience in cash flow forecasting and financial reporting is highly preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience preparing financial reports, dashboards.
- Understanding of cash flow forecasting, Accounts Receivable management, and DSO analysis.
- Familiarity with reporting automation and AI-assisted productivity tools is desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
