Role Description The Data Analyst Intern (Remote) will support the team by collecting, cleaning, and organizing data related to platform usage, student engagement, and program outcomes. This internship role involves performing basic data analysis, generating reports, and creating visualizations that help stakeholders understand key trends and metrics.
The intern will assist in building and refining data models, validating data quality, and documenting findings in a clear, structured format. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with product and operations teams, preparing insights for internal decision-making, and contributing to experiments that improve user experience. This is a remote internship role, offering flexible collaboration across time zones and an opportunity to learn in a data-driven education technology environment.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics techniques, including data cleaning, exploration, and visualization.
- Understanding of statistics, such as descriptive statistics, basic probability, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience or coursework in data modeling, including defining data structures and relationships.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and at least one analytics or visualization tool (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI) is beneficial.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn about data in the context of education and student development.
