Job Description Diploma Engineer (Defense RF Communication Systems) Position -Diploma Engineer RF Communication Systems Location -Deepali, Delhi Experience 3- 6 Years Qualification - Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent. - Additional certifications in RF, Embedded Systems, Testing, or Electronics Manufacturing will be an advantage. We seek a highly motivated Diploma Engineer who is passionate about electronics and wireless technologies and can contribute to the development, testing, integration, and deployment of mission-critical communication systems. Role Purpose The Diploma Engineer will support the design and development team in building, testing, integrating, and validating RF communication products. The role requires extensive hands-on work with prototypes, test equipment, production units, and field deployments under challenging operating conditions. Key Responsibilities RF Product Development Support - Assist engineers / R&D; team in the development of tactical communication and RF products. - Build and integrate prototypes, subsystems, and production units. - Support PCB assembly, wiring harness preparation, module integration, and enclosure assembly. - Participate in hardware bring-up and product debugging activities. - Assist in product qualification and certification activities. - Assist in the development and assembly of high-altitude sub-zero enclosures and ruggedized electronic systems. - Support integration of thermal management systems, heaters, power distribution units, batteries, communication equipment, and monitoring sensors within environmental enclosures. - Assist in mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly activities. - Support selection and validation of components suitable for extreme environmental conditions RF Testing & Validation - Perform RF performance testing and measurements. - Conduct receiver sensitivity, transmitter power, BER, throughput, range, and interoperability testing. - Operate and maintain: Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Signal Generator, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, Frequency Counters, Communication Test Sets - Prepare detailed test reports and maintain test records. System Integration - Integrate radios, antennas, power supplies, batteries, GPS modules, and communication accessories. - Support integration of RF communication systems with vehicles, command centers, UAVs, and portable platforms. - Assist in troubleshooting hardware and communication link issues. Field Trials & Demonstrations - Participate in field trials, customer demonstrations, and user acceptance testing. - Conduct communication range tests and performance validation in real-world environments. - Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at customer locations. - Travel across India for trials, demonstrations, and deployments as required. Production & Quality Support - Assist in pilot production and low-volume manufacturing activities. - Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections. - Support failure analysis and corrective actions. - Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers on technical matters. Documentation & Configuration Control - Maintain assembly procedures, test reports, inspection records, and engineering documentation. - Support preparation of user manuals, maintenance guides, and technical documents. - Ensure adherence to configuration management and quality standards. Required Technical Skills - Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics. - Working knowledge of RF communication principles. - Experience in troubleshooting electronic circuits and assemblies. - Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. - Knowledge of RF connectors, cables, antennas, and transmission systems. - Hands-on experience in soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic hardware. - Familiarity with MS Office and technical documentation. Preferred Experience - Tactical Radios and Military Communication Systems. - Environmental qualification standards and testing practices. - Mechanical assembly drawings and fabrication processes. - Thermal insulation, heating systems, and environmental protection techniques. - Integration of electronic equipment in outdoor and extreme-climate enclosures - Software Defined Radios (SDR). - UAV Communication Systems and Data Links. - RF Modems and Wireless Communication Equipment. - VHF/UHF/L-Band/S-Band Communication Systems. - EMI/EMC and Environmental Qualification Testing. - Ruggedized Electronics and Defense Products. - Electronics Manufacturing and Production Testing.
