Job Description
The Drugs Controller will oversee regulatory compliance and enforcement of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, ensuring that pharmaceutical products meet safety and efficacy standards. The role requires extensive experience in manufacturing, testing, or regulation of drugs and medical devices. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in relevant fields and have at least fifteen years of experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with national drug regulations.
- Review and approve drug applications and clinical trial protocols.
- Conduct inspections of manufacturing facilities.
- Participate in policy formulation and implementation.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Provide guidance and support to industry professionals.
- Monitor adverse drug reactions and safety reports.
- Lead initiatives to enhance public health standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Medicine, with a specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology, from a recognised university or institute.
- Fifteen years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in regulatory affairs or clinical trials.
- Maximum age limit of 58 years as of the application closing date.
