Role Description This is a full-time Gold Inspector role based on-site in Bengaluru.

The Gold

Inspector will assess and verify the purity, weight, and authenticity of gold items brought in by customers, following company guidelines and industry standards. The role includes accurately documenting assessments, determining eligible loan amounts, and ensuring compliance with internal control and regulatory requirements.

Inspector will work closely with branch staff to support smooth loan processing, maintain secure handling and storage of gold assets, and provide clear, respectful communication to customers. The position also involves maintaining accurate records, participating in periodic audits, and supporting business growth through quality service.

Key Skills and Behavioural Attributes

· Gold Appraisal Skills

- Ability to accurately determine the purity, weight, and value of gold ornaments using approved testing methods.

· Knowledge of Gold Testing Methods

- Proficiency in using touchstone, acid testing, magnifying tools, and other appraisal techniques.

· Attention to Detail

- Ability to carefully examine ornaments to identify adulteration, gold plating, or fake jewellery.

· Risk Identification Skills

- Capability to detect fraudulent pledges, irregularities, and suspicious transactions.

· Analytical Skills

- Ability to analyse the quality, design, and composition of gold items during inspection.

· Documentation and Reporting Skills

- Ability to maintain accurate inspection reports, verification records, and audit observations.

- Knowledge of organizational policies, gold loan procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

- Ability to communicate findings clearly to branch staff and management.

- Capability to guide and train branch staff on proper gold appraisal and handling practices.

Education Qualification and Experience

· Minimum Qualification: Graduation (3–4 year degree program) from a recognized institution.
