[Hiring] Healthcare Medical Transcription (Cantonese - English) @Chemin
Role Description
We are looking for medical professionals and individuals with healthcare knowledge to join a remote medical transcription project that helps train AI language systems.
- Listen to authentic Cantonese-English healthcare conversations and accurately transcribe what you hear.
- Segment audio into natural speech units.
- Identify and label speakers when multiple voices are present.
- Add simple annotations (such as gender, age group, and emotion).
- Review and validate transcription quality through Quality Control (QC) tasks, if assigned.
- Follow project guidelines to maintain high-quality outputs.
- Communicate with the Project Manager when clarification is needed.
- Complete assigned tasks within the project timeline.
Qualifications
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to write in Traditional Chinese.
- Familiar with the Hong Kong Cantonese accent (preferred).
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology used in hospitals or clinical environments.
- Fluent in English for understanding project guidelines and project communication.
- Familiar with using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard.
- Strong listening and comprehension skills across different speakers, accents, and background noise.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain at least 95% transcription accuracy.
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer, headset, and stable internet connection.
Requirements
- Medical students, allied health professionals, medical interpreters, medical transcriptionists, healthcare workers, or individuals familiar with medical terminology.
- Candidates based in Hong Kong are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants from other locations are welcome if they can confidently understand and transcribe Hong Kong Cantonese.
- Complete a mandatory pre-assessment as part of the screening process.

Project Details
- Duration: 2 months.
- Project Period: July 20 – September 2026.
- Time commitment: At least 4 hours per day (including weekends when required).
- Daily target: Minimum 3 tasks per day.
- Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am-6pm GMT+8).
- Working hours: Flexible (tasks can be completed anytime before the project deadline).
- Pay Rate: USD 0.10 per accepted task (AHT: ~3–5 minutes per task).
- Quality Control (QC): USD 0.10 per accepted task.
- Audio Length: 1–9 seconds.
