We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Backend Developer with 2+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, experience building scalable backend systems, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code. You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and fellow engineers to build reliable and high-performance backend services.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement backend solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Design and manage data models using MongoDB.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
Maintain technical documentation for backend services and APIs.
Ensure application security and backend best practices are followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
Experience working with AWS services.
Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
Good understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
