As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs function in Chennai.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to serve as the Company’s Authorised Signatory for legal, regulatory, and statutory matters.

This is a senior leadership role requiring exceptional judgment, integrity, and extensive experience interacting with government departments, statutory authorities, regulatory agencies, and public institutions.

The successful candidate will represent the Company before various authorities, manage official filings, coordinate regulatory matters, attend meetings, and provide strategic guidance on governance, compliance, and regulatory affairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Company’s duly authorised representative before Central and State Government departments, statutory authorities, regulatory bodies, tribunals, and public institutions.
  • Attend official meetings, hearings, discussions, and proceedings on behalf of the Company.
  • Prepare, review, submit, and monitor statutory applications, representations, regulatory filings, replies, and official correspondence.
  • Liaise professionally with government departments and public authorities on regulatory, legal, and administrative matters.
  • Coordinate with external advocates, legal counsel, chartered accountants, company secretaries, and consultants.
  • Advise senior management on regulatory procedures, statutory obligations, governance, and compliance.
  • Draft high-quality legal, regulatory, and corporate communications.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and recommend proactive compliance strategies.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality while handling sensitive corporate and legal matters.
  • Ensure all interactions and representations are conducted strictly in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Preferred Profile

Applications are invited from professionals with distinguished careers, including:
  • Former IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, or other senior Central/State Government officers.
  • Retired Armed Forces officers with significant government coordination experience.
  • Former Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) executives.
  • Senior Government Relations, Public Policy, Corporate Affairs, or Regulatory Affairs professionals.
  • Senior Advocates, Legal Consultants, or Company Secretaries with substantial government interface experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline (advanced qualifications preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Indian regulatory and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent legal drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience representing organisations before government departments and statutory authorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Uncompromising integrity, discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Work Arrangement

This is a Remote (Work From Home) position based in Chennai.

The successful candidate will operate from their home office while representing the Company before government departments, statutory authorities, regulatory bodies, and other institutions whenever required.

Travel within Chennai and occasional travel to other locations may be required for official meetings, regulatory submissions, statutory hearings, and stakeholder engagements.
