Responsibilities
- Help college-level students in intro-to-advanced level medical coding and billing courses
- Foster learning independence using the Socratic Method
- Conduct online sessions via Upswing's virtual classroom
- Support students in developing critical thinking skills
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise or advanced knowledge in medical billing and coding
- Excellent academic grades in undergraduate or graduate school
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to receive payments via PayPal
- Reliable access to a computer and internet
- Must upload college transcripts with application
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in teaching methodology, instruction, or tutoring
- Ability to support additional subjects such as algebra, statistics, college writing, or biology
