Mobile Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining iOS and Android mobile applications using React Native and Expo SDK.
  • Writing clean, efficient TypeScript code with a focus on performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Design, Product, Backend) to implement features and solve mobile-specific challenges.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Testing and debugging applications across multiple devices and OS versions to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Staying updated with the latest mobile development trends, Expo SDK updates, and best practices in iOS and Android development.
  • Optimising app performance, managing state, and implementing efficient data fetching strategies.
  • Implementing user authentication and secure data storage in mobile applications.
  • Contributing to code reviews and sharing knowledge with team members to maintain high code quality standards.


Requirements:

  • You have 2-4+ years of experience developing iOS or Android applications.
  • You are proficient in React and React Native development.
  • You have working knowledge of Typescript, NextJs or NestJS.
  • You understand best practices for mobile app performance, security, and UX optimisation.
  • You have strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript ES6+.
  • You are passionate about building high-quality mobile applications and staying current with platform updates.
  • You have experience with version control (Git), testing frameworks, and debugging mobile applications.
  • You are eager to grow your skills and learn from experienced mobile engineers on our team.
  • Bonus: You have experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development in addition to React Native.
