NSM (Govt)
Purpose
The purpose of the National Sales Manager (NSM) Government Business is to lead and drive the
organizations government sales strategy, ensuring sustainable revenue growth through successful
participation in government tenders, rate contracts, institutional procurements, and public healthcare
projects.
Scope
The National Sales Manager (Government Business) is responsible for leading and expanding the
organizations government healthcare sales business across India. The role includes developing and
executing national sales strategies, driving revenue growth through government hospitals, medical
colleges, defense institutions, PSUs, and public healthcare programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement national government sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Drive revenue growth through Central Government, State Government, Defence, PSU, ESIC, CGHS,
- Railways, Medical Colleges, and Public Health Institutions.
- Prepare annual business plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging healthcare procurement programs.
- Lead end-to-end management of GeM, CPPP, State e-Tender portals, and institutional procurement opportunities.
- Oversee bid qualification, tender submissions, pricing strategy, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and procurement regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, or related discipline.
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred.
- 12-18+ years of experience in Medical Devices, Infection Control, Healthcare Equipment, or Healthcare Solutions Sales.
- Minimum 5 years in Government/Institutional Sales Leadership role.
- Proven experience in GeM, CPPP, State Tenders, and Government Procurement Systems.
- Strong network within Government Healthcare Institutions and Procurement Agencies.
