The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and water supply lines in residential and commercial buildings. The individual will also assist in the installation, inspection, and upkeep of fire-fighting systems such as hydrant lines, sprinklers, and related piping to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, coordinating with supervisors and site engineers, and documenting work completed.
