Position: Research Assistant – III (One position)
Job Description: The selected candidate will contribute to the project entitled “Neuroanatomical Studies to elucidate the Development of the Human Auditory Cortex.” This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with the project team to advance the understanding of auditory cortex development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct histological analyses and immunohistochemistry
- Perform cryosectioning and microscopy
- Assist in stereological and three-dimensional reconstruction of neurons
- Collaborate with team members on research projects
- Document research findings and prepare reports
- Participate in project meetings and discussions
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 4 years of research experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Skills
- Proficient in histology techniques
- Experience with microscopy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Excellent communication skills
Project Details
- Project Investigator: Prof. Soumya Iyengar
- Tenure: The tenure will be for a period of 6 months and may continue up to a year based on performance review and project funding availability.
- Accommodation: Accommodation may be provided as per the rules of NBRC, subject to availability.
- Fellowship: ₹ 42,000/- (Consolidated)
