About the internship:

At Kortexity, we build innovative, AI-driven SaaS products. This internship is designed for developers who are passionate about mobile app development or want to bridge the gap between building high-quality mobile frontends and powerful backend systems. You'll work hands-on with modern technologies in a fast-paced environment, taking mobile features from concept to deployment.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Architect and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and native Android components with Kotlin.
2. Develop and optimize backend services using Python and Flask while managing data flow between mobile applications and databases.
3. Build and integrate custom APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and third-party services to support mobile application functionality.
4. Design, manage, and optimize application databases, including MySQL, SQLite, and PostgreSQL, for performance and efficient caching.
5. Assist in maintaining web application interfaces using React and Next.js wherever they integrate with mobile workflows.
6. Use GitHub for version control, containerize backend applications with Docker, and participate in agile debugging and rapid prototyping.
7. Contribute to hackathon-style engineering projects focused on rapid development, clean mobile architecture, and product innovation.

Other Requirements:

1. Candidates who can provide credentials or project links demonstrating they have won or secured top positions in hackathons will be given preference.
2. Proficiency in cross-platform mobile development using React Native and Kotlin, along with full-stack technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Flask, React, and Next.js.
3. Strong interest or experience in LLM implementation, AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and building robust API integrations.
4. Familiarity with Docker and experience managing and optimizing databases such as MySQL, SQLite, and PostgreSQL for mobile application performance.
5. Strong awareness of the latest trends and advancements in mobile development, cloud architecture, and AI application engineering.
6. Own a personal development setup, including a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection, to efficiently build, test, and deploy software.
7. Availability to attend daily scrum meetings with the reporting manager during Eastern Time (ET) business hours.
8. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid-prototyping environment.
9. Hands-on experience building, testing, or deploying mobile applications.
10. Passion for full-stack architecture, particularly integrating mobile applications with scalable backend systems and APIs.
11. Candidates who have secured or won a hackathon are preferred.
