<p><strong>Job: Senior Software Engineer(SonarQube Expert). Experience 6 + years</strong></p><p>Location - Offshore -Any TechM India.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong> <u>About the Role:</u></strong></li><li>We are looking for a senior SonarQube expert who will focus on optimizing SonarQube adoption, defining best practices, improving developer experience, reducing recurring support issues and guiding platform strategy and roadmap decisions.</li><li>The ideal candidate should have hands-on SonarQube expertise combined with the ability to assess platform usage across teams, identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that drive engineering quality and efficiency at scale.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities :</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assess current SonarQube adoption and usage across engineering teams.</li><li>Define and promote SonarQube best practices, standards and governance.</li><li>Review recurring support issues and recommend long-term solutions to reduce ticket volume.</li><li>Advice on Quality Gates, Quality Profiles, code coverage strategies and security practices.</li><li>Recommend improvements to onboarding, self-service capabilities, templates and developer experience.</li><li>Guide strategic decisions related to SonarQube Enterprise, Data Center, and SonarCloud.</li><li>Support platform roadmap planning, upgrades, migrations and scalability initiatives.</li><li>Define meaningful metrics and dashboards to measure adoption, quality improvements and platform effectiveness.</li><li>Evaluate emerging capabilities such as SonarQube MCP, AI-assisted code quality and developer productivity tooling.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Required Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience with SonarQube administration and governance.</li><li>Good understanding of SonarQube architecture and core components like web server, computing engine, search server and database.</li><li>Experience working with SonarQube Enterprise, Data Center, or SonarCloud environments.</li><li>Deep understanding of Quality Gates, Quality Profiles, code coverage, SAST, and technical debt management.</li><li>Experience integrating SonarQube with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar DevOps platforms.</li><li>Exposure to or awareness of SonarQube MCP (Model Context Protocol) server setup to surface quality data to AI coding tools.</li><li>Familiarity with MCP tooling that delivers issue context and fix suggestions within developer IDEs (VS Code, IntelliJ, Cursor, etc.)</li><li>Ability to analyze platform usage, identify gaps and recommend improvements.</li><li>Experience creating enterprise-wide standards, best practices and onboarding models.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.</li></ul><p></p>
