Translation Validator, Malayalam
Job Description:
- Review English source documents alongside two machine-generated Malayalam translations
- Evaluate both variants based on accuracy, fluency, and overall translation quality
- Select the preferred translation and provide a clear written justification
- Review audio files and corresponding transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and overall quality
- Assess transcription and audio quality according to project guidelines
- Complete assigned samples independently and within established timelines
- Adhere strictly to project and client guidelines
Requirements:
- Experienced linguist
- Native-level fluency in Malayalam, written and spoken
- Strong written communication skills in Malayalam
- Proficiency in English
- Background in linguistics, translation, or language quality assessment preferred
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and consistency
- Familiarity with Romanized script conventions is a plus for transliteration tasks
