Build & Release Engineering Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS) India

Amazon Web Services (AWS) India is hiring a Build & Release Engineering Intern in Pune for a 2-month, fully mentored DevOps and platform engineering internship. Amazon Web Services (AWS) India is the world's largest public cloud platform, and this internship puts you inside a team that runs real production workloads — not a training sandbox. About the internship You will join the DevOps / SRE team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Pune and work on live infrastructure alongside engineers who build and operate it every day. From week one you own a scoped piece of work, ship it through review, and see it run. Day-to-day responsibilities • Build, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation used by real product teams. • Work hands-on with Build Automation, Git, Jenkins, Release Management on assigned modules. • Write and improve automation scripts that remove manual, repeated effort. • Help monitor system health, investigate alerts and document what you find. • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and code/config reviews. • Prepare runbooks and technical documentation for the work you deliver. • Test changes in staging and support controlled rollouts to production. Technologies and tools you will use Build Automation, Git, Jenkins, Release Management, Maven/Gradle, Versioning, Linux, Bash Scripting, CI/CD, Artifactory — plus the internal tooling Amazon Web Services (AWS) India uses to run its platforms. What you will learn How code moves from a developer laptop to production safely and repeatably; how large engineering teams collaborate; and the engineering judgement that only comes from working on systems real customers depend on. Team structure You report to a senior engineer who acts as your mentor and sit within a pod of 6-10 engineers. Weekly 1:1s track your progress, and a mid-internship review tells you exactly where you stand. What we expect from you Curiosity, ownership and clear communication. You do not need to know everything on the tools list — you do need solid fundamentals in Linux and networking, and the discipline to document your work.
