Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Business Consultant at SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd., open only to candidates based in or willing to relocate to Calicut, Kerala, with primary work location in Koyilandy and some flexibility for work from home.
The Business
Consultant will support business growth by identifying opportunities, helping develop local business plans, and assisting in implementing sales and distribution strategies. Daily responsibilities include engaging with customers and channel partners, understanding their insurance needs, and proposing suitable SBI Life products while maintaining high service standards. The role involves analyzing local market trends, tracking performance metrics, and preparing basic reports to support decision-making.The Business
Consultant will collaborate with internal teams, participate in training and outreach activities, and uphold SBI Life’s ethical and customer-centric values.Qualifications
- Strong business understanding with experience or interest in Business and Business Planning, preferably in financial services or insurance.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret basic data, identify trends, and support local business decisions.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.
- Minimum educational qualification: bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field (relevant diplomas with strong experience may also be considered).
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Koyilandy (Calicut, Kerala) with occasional field visits and meetings.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working with sales or business development goals.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, online tools); familiarity with digital platforms and CRM systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local language and market dynamics in and around Calicut/Koyilandy will be beneficial.
