Microbiology Technician
Collect and prepare samples for microbiological analysis from various sources (e.g., clinical specimens, food, water, or environmental samples). Ensure samples are collected following proper protocols to maintain their integrity. Perform routine microbiological tests and analyses, including culture, sensitivity, and identification of microorganisms. Utilize various techniques such as microscopy, biochemical tests, and molecular methods. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments. Record and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability of findings. Prepare detailed reports on microbiological analyses, including interpretations of results. Implement and adhere to quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of testing processes and results. Participate in proficiency testing and internal audits to maintain laboratory standards.
