Spanish (MX) Music Audio Reviewer

About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the centralized platform where people build careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect skilled freelancers with paid projects that teach and refine AI systems while helping contributors consolidate proof-of-work, grow a visible profile, and turn short-term gigs into a long-term portfolio.

Why AI training matters

AI training is the human side of building modern AI: people prepare, score, and annotate examples so models learn what to do. Work in this field is often remote and flexible, accessible without prior tech hiring processes, and puts you on the cutting edge of how music and audio models are shaped.

  • 100% remote work you can do from anywhere with a computer and internet
  • Flexible, part-time schedules that fit around other commitments
  • Direct impact on how generative music and voice models perform

The role

OpenTrain is hiring a Spanish (MX) Music Audio Reviewer to evaluate generative music outputs and label musical training data. This is a part-time contract role (20+ hours/week) for up to 6 months. You will review lyrics, vocal and production quality, musicality and creativity, and annotate tracks using a structured taxonomy.

  • Label types: evaluation rating and classification
  • Data type: audio (music and vocal outputs)
  • Work arrangement: contractor, remote, part-time

What you'll do

Your core work is judging AI-generated music against guidelines and adding structured labels so models learn musical standards. Expect focused listening, careful comparison of outputs, and consistent application of annotation rules.

  • Evaluate AI-generated music for musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
  • Score musical training data for overall quality and usefulness
  • Annotate songs for genre, sub-genre, song structure, and vocal or instrumental characteristics
  • Apply audio-engineering terminology when comparing model outputs
  • Review lyrics and voice-generation quality in generated music

Requirements

You must meet the role’s language and music expertise requirements and be able to follow detailed annotation guidelines consistently.

  • 3+ years experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer
  • Strong understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrics
  • Ability to write lyrical music in Spanish (Mexican Spanish)
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish (MX) and English
  • Ability to understand directions given in English
  • Experience evaluating music, audio, or lyrical quality
  • Familiarity with musical terminology and structured labeling
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written communication

Schedule, pay, and duration
