Youtube Video Editor (Remote - India 🇮🇳)

Type: Contract

Location: Remote - India
Commitment: Project-based or monthly retainer

Compensation: Based on experience and scope

About the Role

I’m looking for a video editor to help edit YouTube content for a creator-led channel focused on AI tools, startups, product building, design workflows, and real-world experiments.

The work will include both long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. You should be comfortable turning raw recordings into clear, engaging videos that keep people watching.

This is a contract role to start, with the potential to become ongoing if the fit is strong.

What You’ll Work On

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw screen recordings, camera footage, and voiceover
  • Create short-form clips from longer videos
  • Add pacing, zooms, captions, music, b-roll, screenshots, and visual emphasis where needed
  • Help shape hooks, intros, retention moments, and endings
  • Package videos so the final output feels clear, sharp, and native to YouTube
  • Work with feedback and improve the editing style over time

What I’m Looking For

  • Strong experience editing YouTube videos, especially long-form content
  • Ability to edit short-form clips that grab attention quickly
  • Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and retention
  • Comfortable editing screen-recorded software/product content
  • Taste for clean, modern creator/business content
  • Ability to work independently and make smart creative decisions
  • Reliable communication and delivery timelines

Nice to Have

  • Experience editing AI, SaaS, startup, design, or tech content
  • Understanding of YouTube retention and short-form hooks
  • Ability to suggest better clip ideas from raw footage
  • Motion graphics or lightweight animation skills
  • Thumbnail or title packaging instincts

How to Apply

Please send:

  1. 2-3 examples of long-form YouTube videos you edited
  2. 2-3 examples of short-form clips you edited
  3. Your usual rate or package pricing
  4. A short note on how you approach editing for retention

Bonus: Share one YouTube channel whose editing style you think works really well and why.
